Magic Murchison is famous for its outdoor recreation including white-water rafting, kayaking, jet boating, trout fly fishing, hunting, tramping and gold mining, and also THe Old Ghost Road Mountain Biking. Close to Nelson Lakes and Kahurangi National Park and also Mauria Falls . The Willowbank Walkway is also close by and a short walk to the town centre with cafés.
For the more sedate person a visit to our wonderful museum steeped in history is a wonderful way to fill in a couple of hours! Enquire about the Old Ghost Road Trail for cycling and tramping.
